OENOLOGY. Barrel-aging. New techniques and technological advances. Toasting techniques, the importance of the wood and its organoleptic influence on the wine. Oenologists' experiences and the latest in barrel-making.
MARKETING STRATEGIES IN THE WINE INDUSTRY. Internationalisation and the positioning of Spanish wine in international wine markets, strategic and operative marketing, cooperatives in international markets, the promotion and pursuit of valid commercial solutions for all Spanish producers.
WINE TOURISM. Active in the cultural and artistic promotion of a region. Wine as the driving force behind a sustainable rural economy. Viticulture as a regenerating factor in the rural economy, new business opportunities revolving round the wine industry and its cultural heritage. Practical examples from countries or regions where wine tourism has become a key factor in the region's development.

Grand Tasting Programme
One of the differentiating elements of Iberwine 2010 is its open character towards the end consumer. For this purpose, a range of promotional and direct marketing actions aimed at that consumer will be organised.
This is an event that is aimed at the enthusiast, and for this reason we are taking the culture of wine out into the streets. Between 22nd and 29th May, Valladolid will become an authentic cultural city of wine.
Competition "A Wine for a Tapa".

The vote of the public will decide the winning wines that will receive a prize. Our proposal for this activity is a cultural tour across the Spanish vitiviniculture geography through its wines. We aim to achieve maximum public participation, making this activity both enjoyable and educational. |
Tasting tents in the city
During the Wine Week, marquees will be set up for a limited number of persons to attend didactic wine-tasting events, led by winery professionals, Designation of Origin experts, etc.
The organisation of talks and film screenings led by personalities associated with the cinema, enhancing and enriching our knowledge of the relationship that exists between the world of wine and the treatment of wine in films, etc.
These activities will be developed with the collaboration of the organisers of the SEMINCI, the Valladolid International Film Festival.
